Notice of Vandalism

English

Recently Aberdeen School District has sustained considerable damage from students that seem to be meeting a challenge as identified on TikTok as the “devious lick challenge.” Our restrooms have had the soap dispensers torn off the walls, Urinals and faucets have been destroyed, doors have been slammed into walls causing excess damage, bathroom tiles have been etched, toilets have been filled with items that plugged them so badly that they have had to be removed. Feces have been smeared on the walls, paper towels have been removed from dispensers and thrown in toilets and around the restroom and red food dye has been placed on the white toilets which has made it difficult and, in some cases, impossible to get out.

The patrons of Aberdeen School District have provided our schools the means to have beautiful schools for our students to attend. Aberdeen School District has had inspectors that inspect schools nationally indicate that we are the best maintained building they have seen nationwide. It is very disheartening to see that anyone would destroy our building as a challenge or a prank. The damage that has been done is very costly and must stop. We are asking anyone that has any information as to who is doing this damage to contact the district office at (208) 397-4113 or any building office.
