The district will provide transportation to all school-sponsored activities for students participating as individuals or team members representing the district that are scheduled at a location outside this district. All student participants are required to ride the bus to and from these scheduled events, unless alternative transportation is pre-approved by the coach/advisor.
If a student participant wishes to ride home with his/her parent/guardian, arrangements must be made by the parent/guardian with the coach/advisor either verbally or in writing.
Under no circumstances will student participants be allowed to transport themselves or other students to or from the activity, except in the presence of his or her parent/guardian.
This policy does not apply to activities, such as proms or other school-sponsored dances in which student participation is optional, or attendance as a spectator at an athletic event.
